Daniel Mejia

Daniel manages APFJ’s relationships with institutional funders. Previously, he served as the Program Manager for Climate & International initiatives at the Associated Press. 

Prior to joining AP, Daniel was Engagement Manager for the World Resources Institute’s (WRI) Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) initiative in Washington, DC. He also served as Global Policy Manager at the International Organization for Bamboo and Rattan (INBAR) in Beijing. Daniel was a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, completing political and consular tours in Jakarta, Beijing, and Toronto, as well as an environmental portfolio assignment on the Canada Desk in Washington, DC. 

Daniel is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard, a master’s degree in public policy from Princeton, and a postgraduate certificate in business from Cambridge. He speaks Spanish and Mandarin and is based in Washington DC.
