Juanita Ramos

Juanita manages the impact strategy and serves as a bridge between APFJ projects and AP’s editorial teams, connecting resources and initiatives to strengthen the network’s collective impact. She also leads communications with the cohort serving Hispanic audiences, developing, testing, and supporting audience engagement strategies that align with grant goals and help reach new, diverse audiences.
Based in New York City, she also leads her own audio project, Reinterpretar, which focuses on community engagement and storytelling within the Hispanic community in NYC, along with media literacy workshops. Previously, she worked as a digital journalist for Noticias Telemundo, a TV producer for NY1 Noticias, and at several media outlets in Colombia, where she is from. She holds a master’s degree in bilingual journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
