Public service journalism in the U.S. is under threat
Lost advertising revenue, lower media engagement, and growing “news deserts” have left too many Americans without access to factual local public service journalism. The APFJ is a landmark intervention designed to strengthen and sustain local public service journalism nationwide.
Limited funds limit our reach
Our pilot program reached 44 newsrooms in 25 States, but to continue developing technology and expertise that makes local newsrooms stronger and more self-sufficient in years to come, we need support. With your help, we can achieve our goal of reaching 300 newsrooms nationwide in 2026.
